  1. What is PEAS?

PEAS is what the Education Network does to protect you from dangerous or prohibited sexual behaviour. It serves to guarantee you a safe, respectful and violence-free environment.

  1. What is prohibited behaviour?

A behaviour is prohibited if an adult or another person:

  • touches you in an inappropriate or sexual manner;
  • asks you to do something you dislike or that makes you feel uncomfortable;
  • makes promises (gifts, money, help, good grades) in exchange for sexual acts;
  • threatens or frightens you to keep a secret.

👉 It is never your fault.

  1. Can an adult from the Education Network have a romantic relationship with a child or young person?

❌ No. Never. No adult working with Education Network is permitted to have a romantic or sexual relationship with a child or young person under the age of 18.

  1. What should you do if something makes you feel uncomfortable?

If you feel unwell, anxious or in danger:

  • talk to a trusted adult (parent, teacher, educator);
  • or to a person from Education Network;
  • or use the complaint channels provided (message box, telephone number, e-mail, form to be completed on this website, contact person).

👉 You have the right to speak.

  1. What if I’m afraid to speak?

It is normal to feel afraid.
Please note that:

  • you will not be punished;
  • you will not be scolded;

What you say will be taken seriously and kept confidential.

  1. Can I help a friend in danger?

âś… Yes.
If you see or know that a friend is in danger:

  • encourage him/her to talk about it;
  • Talk to a trusted adult or someone from the Education Network.

Helping someone is an act of courage.

  1. What will Education Network do after receiving a report?

Education Network va :

  • listen to you with respect;
  • protect you;
  • help you receive the support you need (care, listening, assistance).

The priority is always your safety and well-being.

  1. Can I speak even if I’m not sure?

âś… Yes.
If something seems strange or makes you feel uncomfortable, talk about it.
You don’t need to be sure to ask for help.

  1. Do I have any rights?

âś… Yes. You are entitled to:

  • to be respected;
  • to be safe;
  • to say NO;
  • to be listened to and protected.
